5. Santa Rides the Rails – Western Railway Museum. 12/3, 12/10, and 12/17 from 10:30am – 3:30pm Meet Santa at the Western Railway Museum on three Saturdays! Photos are encouraged! In addition, the Museum Store is having a Holiday Sale: 10% off on selected items in every department: books, DVD’s, clothing, Thomas the Tank Engine, and much more. Museum members get an extra 10% off, for a 20% total discount.
4. Holiday Tree Lighting – Nut Tree Plaza 12/3/2011 from 4-6pm. Come see Santa in Nut Tree Plaza. Enjoy a reading of “The Night Before Christmas” for children of all ages, holiday dance numbers, festive bell ringers, and free snacks. PLUS Join them in their partnership with the Vacaville Firefighters Toy Drive. Bring a new unwrapped toy and receive one free ride on the Carousel or Train!
3. Winter Wonderland – Town Square 12/10/2011 from 8am-5pm. This event will be alive with holiday merriment as a variety of singers and dancers perform their seasonal programs for all to enjoy. Look for specials and gift ideas at the more than 40 retail stores throughout Downtown Vacaville!
2. Suisun Winery’s Anniversary Celebration – Suisun Winery 12/26-27 12-5pm. As the holidays are in full swing, bring your family and friends to celebrate the magic happening in Suisun Valley. Enjoy a barrel or vertical winetasting, and nibble on gourmet foods while mingling with friends and winemakers. This special event is traditionally held between Christmas and New Years, an excellent time to spend a quality day with friends and family enjoying Suisun Valley. We welcome you to enjoy our wine and food parings at local wineries to help us celebrate our Anniversary. Participating wineries showcase their award-winning wines all made from Suisun Valley grapes. 1. Clara’s Gift performed by the Vacaville Ballet Theater Company. Vacaville Performing Arts Theatre 12/9-11 shows at 2:00pm and 7:00pm. Come watch the Vacaville Ballet Theater Company’s unique holiday spin on a classic Nutcracker tale. Featuring the same characters, but a different story!
